John A. Nelson

JOHN A. NELSON, farmer, post-office Indian Run, was born on the
farm where he now lives, August 26, 1839, and is a son of James Nelson,
whose sketch appears elsewhere. Further mention of the Nelson family is
made in the notice of Daniel Nelson, of Mercer, hence it is useless to
repeat it here. Our subject was educated in the common schools of the
neighborhood where he lives, and was brought up on the farm. He has always
been at home, consequently he helped his father in the nursery business,
and is engaged in the berry cultivation and general farming. He is a
member of the Presbyterian Church of Mercer, and is an intelligent,
enterprising gentleman and a Republican.
